Here are three of my top REITs to buy today:
Healthcare Realty (HR REIT), a a healthcare REIT just like Medical Properties Trust (MPW REIT), but instead of investing in hospitals, it invests in medical office buildings. The market appears to have priced it as if it were an office REIT like Boston Properties (BXP) but its properties are far more resilient. Today, it is priced at a historically low valuation and high dividend yield.
Vonovia (VNA Stock) is a listed real estate company that owns apartment communities mainly in Germany, but also in Sweden and elsewhere in Europe. It is a blue chip with a defensive cash flow, a strong balance sheet, and a great track record. But it is currently priced at a large discount to its net asset value. Its latest share price is €27 per share but its latest NAV is around €50.
Whitestone REIT (WSR Stock) is a small cap retail REIT that owns mostly service oriented properties in rapidly growing sunbelt markets. It is today undervalued because of some temporary issues that are fixable over time.
